Does anyone know if it's possible to substitute 1 1/2 cups of crushed biscuits with something that is wheat free?

I think rye bread usually still has wheat, just less of it.

There's this family recipe for chocolate truffles which is basically crushed biscuits, coconut, condensed milk, and cocoa. Thing is that mum can't eat wheat - she usually has some anyway and ends up with a horrible headache. Thought I would see if I could head that off at the pass this year.

Could you use crushed gluten-free biscuits?

I think my brain is faulty, because it short-circuited and told me that things could somehow be gluten-free while still having wheat.
