Chantelle the Green Canary (aka my metallic dark green Suzki Swift Cino) was becoming a little disturbing, so it was decided that a new car would become mine. As of today, I now own an indigo blue Ford Festiva - 3 door, 5 speed manual. Shiny! Name will be discovered sometime in the next few weeks.
Interestingly, it was discovered this afternoon that a lot of the disturbingness from Chantelle was this warp in an S shape from one side of the back left tyre to the other side. Crazy. My father's car has been very unreliable lately, so we changed the tyre and he is now driving Chantelle instead for the meantime. We'll figure out what to do with it later.

Date: 2008-08-16 03:01 pm (UTC)Hey, congratulations on new(ish) full-time-ness and new car and new style! Hope dressing up for work is still fun..
And I wanted to let you know I haven't been ignoring your calls! I've just been having Major Dramas with my new phone.. My old phone died a couple weeks ago and I got a new one and there's something wrong with it...whenever someone calls it it not only cuts out but for the next 12 or so hours I can't call, or send or receive texts (except, it seems, texts to and from Crispin and Dean from work. Mysterious. Must be something about their provider..). Anyway, planning on taking it to the Telstra shop tomorrow arvo (if I can escape bump-in long enough... Monday if I can't) and will message you when it's working again and I'm callable!
Hope things be going well with you my dear. Look forward to catching up and making yummy things xo

Date: 2008-08-18 09:01 am (UTC)There's three main things I thought I'd call for:
1) Potential try to reschedule baking for some time
2) A lead on where I might be able to get a clothes hanging rack thing like yours
3) A chat never goes astray *heh*

Date: 2008-08-20 04:43 pm (UTC)1) Baking is fun. Are you 9-5 every day? (in that, are Sundays still best for you?)
2) Bought my clothes hanging thing from a friend who was moving to England. However, Amy got her very similar rack thingy from Ikea, and her almost identical downward-pocket-thingies from some shop like K-Mart, I can find out which one if you like?
3) Chats *are* good. Will let you know when phone fixed!

Date: 2008-08-20 11:27 pm (UTC)1) 9:30am to 5:30pm, and 10am-2pm on Saturdays.
2) Alas, I looked on the Ikea website last week and couldn't see anything. Maybe I should wander around the shop at some point. Pocket/hanging shelves should be alright to find, since they go in wardrobes as well as on hanging racks.
3) Excellent!
