Kalgoorlie and LJ-cut dentist
Wednesday, April 12th, 2006 11:50 amI had a dream about going to Kalgoorlie about a month and a half ago. For some reason, I then fixated on the idea of going to Kalgoorlie. Looked into prices, almost nixed the idea completely because of the price being more than the budget was happy with. But, well, fixated on the idea of going to Kalgoorlie. Thought about different options. Discovered that my bro's car that was sitting at Mum and Dad's place is not broken, only stored there. Bro agreed that I could borrow it. Yay! That solved transportation to there and around there and back again. So it was decided I was definitely going to Kalgoorlie for the Easter weekend! I've never been there before, it'll be fun. If I'm feeling especially poor when I get there, I can just sleep in the car. If I park at a servo where lots of trucks stop, I should be pretty safe. Otherwise I can get single room accomadation for $25 per night. Z decided that it was boring when he was there as a kid, so he's going to have a relaxing weekend at home while I'm galavanting around having an adventure.
The right side of my mouth isn't done yet --- > X(
I was hoping last night would be the last night for the right side, and that the two root canals would finally be finished.
No anaesthetic was used, the lack of nerves in those two teeth made it unnecessary I guess. They took these short thin rubber things, and stuck as many as they could vertically into my teeth, pushing each one up quite firmly. Freaked me out lots until the nurse explained what he was doing, then I still freaked, but a lot less. Then after my teeth were bristling these rubber things, he got this hot thing and burnt the extra bits of rubber away. The nurse used the sucky tube thing to suck away the burning rubber fumes. Then they stuck temp fillings on the two teeth. Back in May to get crowns put on them.
Last night at the dentist cost me...wait for it...$665. That was just last night. My freaking teeth are costing me a lot. I dipped into our savings to pay back on my credit card after last night, as my credit card is only $100-200 off the limit after putting $665 on it. There's no way I can absorb $665 in one hit. The last couple of appointments for my root canals have only been a couple of hundred or so each time. bah. I believe that crowns are expensive too. Gotta get my credit card down so that I don't have to worry about having enough to pay for those at the time. And here I am about to go to Kalgoorlie and rack up more. *sigh*
But yay! I'm going to Kalgoorlie!
