Oh, how fulltime work interupts the usual habits *swoons/sighs*
Saturday, May 15th, 2004 07:46 amSo, due to fulltime work, I simply haven't been on my computer much at all. I've gone from 3 or more hours a day, give or take, to 3 hours a week if I'm lucky.
This, of course, would usually kill ability to check email or read my friends list. I simply see no point in turning on my computer if it's going to be turned off again in 10 minutes. My remedy to this is that in the last month Z has taken to leaving his computer on all the time. I just have to turn his monitor on or kick him off his own computer for 10 minutes to check email and my friends list. The only drawback is I have no ICQ-ness until I turn my own computer on, and I also don't check the 9 comics I read on his computer either.
The biggest drawback of the lot, however, is that his computer doesn't have a lj client and I feel I would be intruding on his territory too far to install one. If I wish to update, I must either use the website update thing which requires html (which interupts the thought flow and doesn't give me my emoticons :( ), or wait until I get on my own computer (by which time there is usually no thoughts or desire to update anymore).
Time ticking away and it's all going towards work. *whimpers and looks forward to next paycheck*.
In other quick updatey news:
-^-My gran is now in the nursing home. Mum is enjoying herself.
-^-Work is getting better and less mind-numbingly boring all the time.
-^-I was so cold on Wednesday night that it drove me to tears. No hot waterbottle & 3.8 degrees C. :(
-^-Got a hot water bottle yesterday, and was nice and toasty last night. :D
-^-Enjoying having money, and starting to pay off debt a little.
-^-Got depressed last night because Z brought up that I should start paying half the bills. I was going to increase my rent/board voluntarily in a month or two after I had paid off a chunk of debt and had a little fun with my new money. Depressed factor was when he brought it up, which reminded me I had respondsibilties and was in the scary adult world and things don't work off goodwill offerings anymore, but rather logical contractul things.
-^-I've been enjoying my new lace-up boots, although I wish I could wear them more often. Alas, they are not work wear.
-^-Bought myself a fairy paint-the-plaster thing from Crazy Clark's on Thursday. Fun! :)
-^- Need to buy myself some closed-in shoes for work because my feet freeze with sandal type shoes. When my feet are cold, I am cold on the inside, even if I may feel warm on the outside. Like a lasagne that someone tried to defrost on high in the microwave...scalding on the outside and frozen in the middle.
Well, each bit of update was quick, even though as a whole it's less quick because of the volume. Lucky for you it's now 8:10am and I have to run off and get ready for work. *Wants her emoticon thingy :( *
