Sunday, February 1st, 2004 03:15 pmKarey stood at her vantage point, certain that she was watching something truly spectacular. The golden orb of the sun hung above the horizon, illuminating the couple beneath the flame tree in full bloom. Arm in arm, her head to his chest, they were slowdancing to the rythym of their heartbeats united in love.
Alone on the viewing platform on the hilltop, Karey both rejoiced in their happiness and wept for her own loneliness. It wasn't always easy living away from all her friends from the past. Often it was even harder being shut off from her family by the bittersweet black veil of death. As the last of the sun slipped below the horizon, Karey descended from the hill and made her way back home.
