Hurting chest wrap-up
Tuesday, December 11th, 2007 10:16 amThe chest pain actually started easing off about 5-6am Thursday morning. Doctor's appointment was at 10:20am, by which time the pain was most in the middle of my chest and drastically reduced elsewhere. He listened to my chest and the long story I had of the lead up to pain and pronounced it a viral infection. Yay for not having contracted meningitis or something. He didn't need to prescribe anything either. By Thursday night I was able to take codeine for my headache and ignore my chest enough to attend my nephew's Yr 7 graduation. Friday morning there was only a faint echo of pain in the middle of my chest if I breathed in deep. I agonised over whether to go to work or not, when I remembered that I had already pushed myself on Monday and Tuesday at work and didn't particularly relish pushing a third day in the same week. So I called up the boss man and told him what the doctor said and that I was feeling better but I wanted to baby myself through the last of it. So glad too, because it turned out my energy levels were non-existant. So tired, and my knees would give out every so often. Saturday I was right as rain again. It's probably a good thing I'm not dead, I still haven't written a Will ;)
