Wednesday, August 4th, 2004 06:40 pmSo, lots of stuff happening, but y'all not going to hear even half of it, since I haven't been in an updating mood. Y'know how it is - 'I'll update tomorrow' forever, and then by the time you finally update you can't fit all the events in, even if you only write about the interesting events, and beside you can't remember anything anyway. So, now that I've preached about what you all already know about updating, I'll update.
I believe I wrote about getting a new mobile phone a while back. I gave my old one to my mother last week, who then went and got pre-paid. It's a breath of relief to finally be able to contact her, because she tends to dawdle when she's out and about - which doesn't help when you have something urgent to tell her and you're waiting for her to get back home.
Y'know how it is when the family having urgent things to tell the mother.
I spoke about two sets of friends who both got engaged and have a November date for their weddings. Well, one of the brides-to-be had her kitchen tea last Sunday. She threw a Tupperware party, which turned out to be fun despite my prejudice. They have these new silicon based products. They're things like muffin pans and quiche trays which can be frozen, baked, and folded into a small size to put away. Flexible yet hold their shape thingys. They're covered by the Tupperware lifetime guarantee still, and the only thing that can really hurt them are cooking sprays. All sounds dull in the written words, but they impressed me muchly, I must say.
On a totally different note, I've been reading the bible lately. I read a book written by a jewish man, whose whole family came to believe in Jesus as the Messiah. It was an exceedingly interesting read, and prompted me to pick up the "good book" again for a read. It's been ages since I've read the bible.
I've yet again been practising the trumpet. So far I've been sticking to it, so we'll see if I make it this time, hm?
Well, I've reached the limit of what I can remember to update about. Serves me right for not updating earlier, I be guessing.
