Back to the Future, along with technological advancements.
Sunday, February 1st, 2004 09:27 amI am now the proud owner of "Back to the Future" on DVD, thanks to a gift voucher for Sanity as a birthday present. I had forgotten just how excellent that movie was, especially since they never have it on tv. They always have BttF 2 and 3, but never show BttF 1. Probably a scam to sell more DVDs, or something. Worked too, but it was definitely worth getting. Even IMDB thinks it's great, giving it 8/10, and putting it #145 on the list of top movies of all time.
In other news, I have become slightly less technologically stupid. Anyone who has ever gotten an sms from me knows that I've always used capital letters, which are horrible to read and take up more screen space, requiring you to scroll more to read the whole message. This was not my choice. If I held a button down, it went from caps, to numbers, to caps again. I went through all the menus looking for an option to change it but found none. Those caps have been the bane of my sms-ing for a year or so now. So, I was on the phone to my sister-in-law, explaining that I didn't want to sms someone because of blah blah blah, and she then gave me information that technologically advanced me. *! *******! Yes, * is the button that changes from caps to lowercase. I knew about # and how you got all the symbols, but I'd never pressed * because I don't touch buttons if I don't know what they do. Things usually break if I go poking around like that. So, if in future you get an sms from me, it will now be in reader-friendly lowercase, except for the start of sentences and the like.
In further news, I haven't been on the net much in the last week, and the two times I was were taken up with other stuff. I have therefore yet to read my friends list for that long, and haven't even caught up with the 5 webcomics I read yet. I haven't updated for a while, so I figured I'd update (10-15min), then find out what's been happening (2 hrs ;D ), and then get to the comics (5 min). Commencing as soon as I post this update. Which would be now :)
