bah, stupid settings / revelation while typing post

silveraiI was waiting and waiting and waiting for anyone to finally comment on one of my posts. Someone finally did on the cockroach one. I got it in my email instead of on the comment thingy at the end of my posts. I though, hm, weird. Maybe that person elected to send it by email instead of showing it for all to see. Alas, no. I received another comment by email without it also showing up in my journal.
I went into edit personal settings, and then went in again while I was typing what I thought was wrong just then. It could have been two things I had chosen (edit: definitely was). Hm. This post has now changed from "stupid setting thingys" to "ah, _that's_ what that meant" mode.
Anyone want to comment on this post with something inane and help me test the changed settings?
Edit: I also made it so the other comments are now showing. I actually had to....LOG IN... *gasp* to do it, instead of just using one of those program thingies
