We have lift-off, after many, horrible, annoying,GAH hiccups. The 20gb hard drive now has XP on it and the 80GB has been wiped, removing any possibility of going back. Going good so far though, so I doubt it's going to be a problem.
Update: 10:50pm
Except of course, that my machine starts spontaneously rebooting, thereby proving that my power supply is fsnooked. I have now replaced the power supply, but I'm not going to say everything is now fine, because Lady Fate hates me when it comes to computer hardware and upgrades and squishes me every time I say that.
