Xmas was good, went to various parties and enjoyed the company of many a fine person. Was gratified to see my gifts well received, and enjoyed what I received too, including an Acer Aspire One. My constant ache for a notebook/netbook has now been eased, I'm very happy :)
Zig and I bought an Xbox 360 after Xmas, and I got Guitar Hero III. I was steadily working on getting RSI from playing for hours for a while, but I seem to have eased into increased muscles or something, because it hurts less for the same amount of time now. Yay for Guitar Hero! Got a second controller too, for parties and such. Didn't think anyone would play against me though, so it was very enjoyable to share the game with a friend last Saturday night. Naturally I scored quite a bit higher, but they didn't mind cos it was more about the fun than the competing.
Had an opportunity to share some of my music collection with the same friend, it was good to randomly flick through many songs while choosing albums. Keep forgetting how much awesome stuff I could be listening too, so it reminded me to put on some background music more often. Have some acoustic Morcheeba playing right now.
Found out when I got home tonight that Zig is flying off at 4am to work in whoop whoop until Thursday night. He says he told me a week ago, but I didn't remember and he didn't remind me. So that sucked, my day was really crappy already and then had that dumped on top. Oh well, happens.
Got a pair of mini tongs as part of a christmas present, the kind that are fantastic for salads. I was out shopping last Saturday and took the chance to pick up two more pairs. Party utensils will thus be even better next Halloween party.
My clothing storage system is terrible, clothe piles strewn everywhere. To my credit, I keep the massive thing within a certain area, so that it doesn't take over walkways or the rest of the bedroom. I think I'm finally going to put into action my organisation plan though. Zig put in a massive effort and cleaned up his big messy part of the bedroom yesterday, so there'll be plenty of room for me to buy two or three clothes racks, Ikea style, and sort out my stuff - throw out some, hang up or compartmentalise the rest. Or at least a whole bunch of it. It's ridiculous how much stuff I have now. I figure I'll go to Ikea on Thursday night before Zig flies back in.
I played Prince of Persia 4 after reading a glowing LJ post about it. I finished the game last week and enjoyed it immensely for the extreme prettiness and intriguing gameplay. I heartily recommend it. I liked it so much that I am now starting it on the Xbox 360. So far it's interesting, but I think I preferred the PC. Both are good though.
If you read this far, then you will now be informed that I'm definitely going to have a bring-a-plate-of-food picnic in the park with crazy hats in Bassendean on Saturday 24th January at about 5pm until dark. Not sure which river park it will be yet, but one of them. I should get around to sending SMSs out sometime. All welcome, as usual.
