I'll do my best to update since my long post, but I've forgotten a bit after time, naturally!
So car wise - running out of water didn't seem to damage it horribly despite all the potential-ness of it. The reason it ran out was a split in a hose, so we took one off my mother's wreck to replace it. There was also a bad oil leak which meant oil was dangerously low, but Zig did something with some sort of sealant, and the bad oil leak is now only a little oil leak. I don't think I mentioned, but I'd also done the back bumper and it was squeaking like fingernails on a blackboard, so I undid some bolt and popped it mostly back on and it doesn't sqeak anymore, looks mostly alright, and only gives a bit of a clunk occasionally. So I'm driving it again, although a part of me is still wary.
Sick wise - Feeling good energy wise and my throat hasn't been sore for a while. Still rugging up a bit when dressing, just in case. I have a bit of a chest cough occasionally, but I can mostly live with that. Back in the saddle.
Money wise - I didn't get paid at all last week because Accounts was very confused by the days I had and hadn't worked. Last week I worked two days, and the two half days I worked the week before added another one. There was also an extra day I worked from back near Easter, so this week I got paid a full week's worth of wages. Not getting paid at all the week before sucked donkey balls, but a full week's wages following alleviated stress there a lot. I was even able to backpay my share of the rent/bills that I was forced to miss last week.
Nephew wise - He's come to utter final loggerheads with his dad and step-defacto mum, so he went and lived with his mum and nanna for the second week of holidays. It's really not good there either - henpecked males are the norm there, and his mum has acted at the level of a twelve year old since the accident ages ago, and yet still has power over her son. But his home life had become completely unmanageable what with all the personality conflicts and arguements. He may live at his nanna's for the school term that started this week, or he may go to boarding school, depending on what has happened this past week. I haven't heard anything since last week so I don't know. My nephew has been dead against boarding school whenever the topic previously came up, but his dad pointed out recently he didn't know a thing about it, so they came to an agreement that they'd both go and have a look around Swanleigh (which feeds into Govenor Stirling) so that he was better able to make an informed decision. He's in Year 8 this year.
That's it for now. I'll leave you with a thought: "Cupcakes"
