The mobile saga continues!
Saturday, December 1st, 2007 11:21 amI went to pick up my replacement mobile on Thursday night only to discover that, once again, the wrong model had been shipped. The exact same wrong model. Irritating to be sure, as I now have wait another week for the right model to be shipped out. I called up the insurance lady ready to step out of character and try to be one of those complaining people that makes service people jump to it, but she was just so nice and sympathetic when I explained what happened that I thawed immediately. I've called a few times now and everyone I've spoken to there says the model I want, so it's just the despatch monkeys stuffing it up. The lovely insurance lady made a note on my file for the people despatching the new mobile to double-check it, so hopefully the chimpanzees will get it right this time.
Meanwhile, they shipped a new sim card at the same time, so I now have possession of it. I've put it in a crusty old mobile I had lying around, so I'm contactable again while waiting for my new mobile. Still the same number as before, so you don't have to change your address books at all.
