Two random thoughts of today: Grass and Paper
Friday, October 19th, 2007 05:18 pmAustralians love lawns. We water them despite water restrictions, mow them and walk on them. With plenty of ground cover plants out there that take very little water, we still use grass. Grass may be traditional, but probably only because we don't like walking on plants. Grass has somehow become not a plant to our minds.
I found it interesting when I searched on google.com.au (the australian one, in other words) for "perth office paper recycle outlets," the results that turned up were either about buying recycled paper, recycling in the uk, or were PDF files - usually about buying recycled paper. Only one or two links came up with where one could actually recycle one's paper. This disappoints me, buying recycled paper is important but being able to recycle the paper in the first place is just as important.
