Organising invitations at the moment. Oh argh, the organising, and this is just small scale.
1) It's surprising how many addresses I didn't have. Also, the number of addresses I now possess. Still have to round up a few.
2) So hard to pin point the guest list. There are people I'd invite in less than a heart's beat if it were just my party, but which I'm agonising over because it's a Zig and my thing. So if I don't invite you and you're reading this, SORRY - and please consider finding out the details from someone else and gatecrashing anyway ;)
Decided not to invite people I haven't seen for years, such as long lost high-school group friends. Also decided that I'm not inviting my aunty in Perth, who noone really likes to have around because she asks questions about things that aren't her business, but in such a way that you find yourself answering anyway. She'll be at the wedding I guess. I'm not inviting any of the other uncles/aunties either, cos they're all country based and this party is still kind of informal even though it's formal for invites.
3)Printed out most invites last night to discover that I only had business envelopes. So invites delayed until I get better envelopes. Possibly posting out on Wednesday at this stage.
4)Wish I could make a good date for everyone, alas I don't think that's ever truly possible. Some friends I think are going interstate before the party, and my brother isn't due back in Australia until August. Sister-in-law will be managing restaurant at the time, so she can't come either *sigh*. Oh well, I still anticipate lots of wonderful people coming.
At least I have four years to agonise over the wedding stuff, and picking a date that suits people is less relevant cos it's already picked.
