Saturday, January 14th, 2006 02:15 pmErm, nothing really to say. Just writing this because we have a lull in customers and I have nothing else to fill my time! I'm sure I'll end up prattling about something.
Have the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack playing, all three OST CDs lined-up in mp3s. Currently play Green Bird at these words. I love the eclectic mix of songs and wanted to hear more of some of them. Looked the soundtrack up to see if I could find more, but alas! there was a creative genius who created a band especially for the series and nothing else. So that particular created by those specific people no longer exists and I must content myelf with the existing awesome-ness of the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack. Now playing Elm.
So, something else to prattle about. Hm. Z and a friend of his got a hair-brained idea to build themselves a spit for the Australia Day roasty party thing that the friend always does for Australia Day. They're using a drum for the frame, bed springs for something, a stretched motorbike shock absorber spring as a "wormgear" (s/p?) which make the gear turn that in turn turns the spit itself. Confused yet? I remain dubious as to the outcome, but they are all enthused and Z can bodge up really interesting stuff sometimes. They are also trying to figure out a spit juice pump so that it pumps to collected juice back up onto the meat instead of having to manually baste it on. All very odd.
NEW BED IS AWESOME!
*skip an hour in which I couldn't think of anything*
HAHAHA! A guy wanted a name on his invoice which I thought was Travel West. Asked him if it was one word or two, and he said two, then I asked him if it was PTY LTD or just Travel West. He looked at me weird and asked what I said, so I repeated. Then since he was going "what?" still, I asked "it is a business name?" He said it wasn't a business, it was a personal name, at which point it twigged that it was TREVOR West, not Travel West! Doh! So silly.
Ok, work is over now. Tata!
