My friend/work mate used to spend at least a few hundred on her mobile phone bill each month before she got an abn and a business call cap recently. Optus looked at this and must have decided they liked having her business because they offered her two free tickets to Cirque du Soleil. She then in turn asked if I'd like to go with her. Sweet! Next Saturday is the day, and I'm looking forward to it immensely.
As I mentioned in my answer to
sonnlich's thingy, I recently had a needle stuck in me after not having one in over a decade. Not fun facing such a huge fear, but I managed and I am now more prepared for when I force myself to go to the dentist eventually. Gotta do that, been putting it off for way too many years.
Also I mentioned this in the one for
dr_jekyl.
I've been doing stuff for my webpage again today. Prepared the archived news and half of the writing page's content, which leaves the other half, the links page, and bugging Zig for the php for the pictures page. Coming along nicely, I say. It will hopefully be not that long away before I can whack to whole lot up in one hit.
Sometime in the last few weeks I took The Cat to the vet after it hadn't been eating anything except milk for two months or so. $400 spent on it again, this time for dentist work and intraveneous fluids. We hadn't been feeding it kibbles since last vet visit because we didn't want to test its teeth, but the vet said we should because it would help to clean off some of the crap that builds up on teeth and hurts the gums. The vet also said that if we brought the cat in earlier next time they may be able to treat with anti-biotics only, which would certainly be a lot cheaper. When I went to pick the cat up, the receptionist said something along the lines of, "You're here to pick up The Cat. Oh, I feel so rude calling it that." Those of you who have forgotten, we named the cat The Cat after it refused to be named anything for at least two months. It now has a name tag with "The Cat" on it and everything. The Cat is now eating properly again and was very peppy for the first few days after being fixed.
One big thing that happened since last I updated was the End of Financial year. All rush rush rush at work and busy busy busy. This last week was much more cruisy by comparison. Very glad the new financial year has now started. Gotta get organised and do my tax return now, which shouldn't be that hard, just a case of scrounging around for the paperwork and filling out e-tax.
Also a mention to
cear: How have you been? Charmed will happen again, maybe next Sunday, but more likely the Saturday after next. Does that sound alright? I'll convince Z to go visit his brother or something. I'll get in touch closer to the time.
