Thursday, September 16th, 2004 01:12 pmNot enough customers to keep me doing stuff. Weren't enought customers yesterday either, so I've already done all the little clean-up things I can do. Played a lot of solitaire last afternoon.
My colleague next to me has no trouble when there's nothing to do She has a whole heap of people online she chat to on email and msn. Plenty to keep her occupied and entertained. Not so lucky I. Solitaire for me!
It speaks something for my moral code, that I feel guilty for not doing any work, even when there's no work to do. Of course, if the work to do was vacuuming the carpet or something, I'd be all for doing nothing ;) Yet here I am doing nothing except for the few and far between customers. See? Look! It's forced me to update my journal, just to have something to do! That says how little there is to do.
It's a beautiful day outside. The sun is warm without being too hot, as I discovered on my early lunch break. I'm stuck at my desk, looking out our big storefront windows, gazing on sun-drenched scenery. I wish I could be out in it! I finish work at 5:30pm, when the sun is just starting to set. No sun for me!
