Homemade Coco Pops

Well, I felt I needed some cereal for breakfast in the mornings again. Since I didn't want anything with wheat in it, that left Coco Pops and Rice Bubbles. Yay. No, I don't eat porridge either. I would have gone for the Coco Pops, but I'm a little bit on the budgeting side this week (not that it stopped me getting Milo). So I got my Rice Bubbles, my rice milk (since I try to moderate my dairy intake for my sinus's sake) and my Milo along with the rest of the shopping. On the way home, a clever little idea took hold.

This morning, I ate Coco pops, according to my tastebuds. According to my brain, I mixed Milo and rice milk together, microwaved it for 20 seconds to melt the Milo, and then added the Rice Bubbles along with a little more rice milk. After I squashed all the cereal down, it soaked up a little chocolate flavour, and became homemade coco pops. Mmmmm. It was basically the same. After all, from memory the chocolate all comes off the bubbles and goes into the milk with regular Coco Pops, so I just put the chocolate straight in the milk for the same effect.

So, out of the few people who read this journal, most of you will know that I not only play piano, but I quite often make up songs while playing.

The thing that started my latest plan is that above fact coupled with Z's sister loaning me an awesome keyboard. Whee! Plus [livejournal.com profile] cear showed me some songs he had created with a computer program, which has now inspired me.

The plan is to borrow my brother's midi cable which he's to busy to use now-a-days, and grab a copy of the program off [livejournal.com profile] cear, and thus be able to record my music onto my computer. Yay! This means not only will I be able to create more complex intertwining parts with the program's help, but I'll also retain a copy off all the stuff I make up instead of just forgetting it and making up new stuff the next time.

Now, I just have to bug my brother for that cable and get that program before I forget my latest cute song. Er, make that two cutest new songs, although I may forget the second one. The first one has survived my memory two nights so far, so it has a better chance of getting recorded in the end.

I overheard a lady the other day:

"I wish my eyes were sore so that you could be a sight for them."
