Beds and Trees
Monday, December 1st, 2003 11:02 amAnyone whose been at my house since Feb 2002 should know that I have had a bed in my room for that long. It started out as a purely futile effort for Centrelink. I was filling out living arrangements forms at the time, and decided I should have a bed in my room in case they chose my forms at random to verify. It has been there since, practically useless since it creaks with the slightless movement and so everyone who slept here since chose either the couch, or to have the mattress on the floor instead. Bulk rubbish came to our neighbourhood this week, and so I decided it was time the usless bed stopped using up space in my room. Bye bed! Now, however, a great many oppurtunities for redecorating my room are barging into my head. It'll require cleaning up, but since it will be cleaning up to re-arrange furniture rather than cleaning up for cleaning-up's sake, there is a dim chance it may actually happen this time.
In other news, I put the Christmas tree up this morning (yay!). Z would prefer to have it up for the week Christmas day happens in, if that. I, on the other hand, would love to put it up as soon as possible, say late October maybe. Therefore, I have restrained myself to not putting it up until it becomes December and Z then doesn't say anything, since it is the Christmas month after all. After Christmas, I stall taking it down again for as long as possible too. Although Z would prefer to have it down around about, say, Boxing day, it has in previous times managed to survive until 20th January *grins in an evil but festive way*.
