Odd delicacies
Tuesday, March 25th, 2003 10:44 amI had deep-fried alcohol last night. A guy from work brought it in. It looked like yellow tube squiggles, and tasted wonderful. It was created with white sambuca and honey, which was nicely sweet and slightly liquidy in the middle, while the deep-friedness created a soft but firm shell on the outside, which gave a batter effect. Soneil says that he's thinking of starting an indian nightclub, and that he was going to serve it there. Kinda of a get drunk while you're eating thing, although with the honey mixed in it wasn't hugely strong, just left a nice after-taste five minutes after you ate it. I think he might of brought it in to see if it would be liked by people or not, although I didn't ask him.
