Ugh, the feel of trickling sweat *swelter*
Sunday, March 9th, 2003 02:50 pmWell, my car is fixed. Something to do with connecting a wire so that the "Ballast resistor" is by-passed while the car is starting. I haven't got another shift until tomorrow though, so still won't have as much money as I would like to have this next payday.
As to the weather, all water restriction considerations are off. Cold showers, every 10 mins, and I'm still sweltering.
The power went out last night. No fan to keep heat and mosquitos away. No street light on the corner causing a glow through the covered window. There was also a very annoying unhappy sounding whine coming from next door which I identified as their air-conditioner when it suddenly shut up with a bit of a flash and lots of water dripping on their driveway soon after. Sigi says he thought he heard the trains slow down too, but he's not sure. There sure were a lot of police/emergency sirens though, and a "grunty" car went past our house at least three times which I think was the ranger or something. It didn't really last long for such a big scale power outage though, only an hour and a half or so.
I've started playing Grand Theft Auto 3. It's not bad. I think I prefer watching Sigi play it, but I'll continue playing it myself anyway. The plus side is it was chunking a bit, and Z remembered he taxed 128 mb ram out of it a couple of months. He hunted around trying to find it, but only came up with a 256 stick of ram. :D mmmm, ram.
